STICK TO YOUR GUNS
This American hardcore punk band from Orange County, California, led by frontman Jesse Barnett, engaged the audience with heartfelt songs that inspired swaying and emotional connection. Their energetic performances, characterized by crunchy riffs and electrifying sound, ignited a chaotic mosh pit. While they may not be my personal favorite, they are undeniably entertaining live. Their style evokes a post-hardcore/Warpt Tour aesthetic, almost as if they have returned to a sound they never truly embodied. The Gramercy Theatre. March 25, 2025.
2025
PALEFACE SWISS
PALEFACE SWISS put on an incredible show, showcasing the lead singer's impressive vocal range, which encompasses singing, rapping, guttural growls, pig squeals, and powerful screams—truly remarkable. Their stage presence was nothing short of inspiring and genuinely fun, a stark contrast to the typical concert experience. The lead singer made a point to introduce each member of the team, from security to management, in a heartfelt acknowledgment of those who contributed to "THE CURSED TOUR." The Gramercy Theatre March 25, 2025

HOWIE DAY
Watching Howie Day perform was like a little kid watching a magic show. He played a straightforward melody, accompanied by a refrain, while rhythmically tapping the body of his guitar. He captured the entire performance on recording, skillfully layering the sounds in real-time to produce a backing track. His impeccable looping and the spontaneous harmonies he crafted solely with his voice and guitar were truly remarkable and must be experienced to be fully appreciated. The City Winery NYC. SOUL ASYLUM
To me, Soul Asylum has always been synonymous with the dynamic energy of lead singer Dave Pirner, who consistently captivates the audience on stage. While he still exudes a commanding presence, their performance showcased the entire band during the whole set. I fondly recall "someone to shove" from the 90s, yet like many in the crowd, I was particularly eager to join in on "runaway train". They certainly delivered, making it the standout moment of a delightful start to an evening field with great music. LIVE at Webster Hall in New York City.

HANSON
Hanson acoustic set at teh Palladium Times Square was nostalgic, evoking memories off their early days in the music industry. The intimate atmosphere allowed fans to experience their beloved hits in a stripped-down format, highlighting the harmonies that first captured hearts in the 90's. As the brothers took turns sharing stories behind the songs, the audience was transported back in time, reminiscing about their youthful exuberance and the impact Hanson had on their lives. And then last night, I had the opportunity not only to enjoy the performance but also to capture it through photography, fulfilling one of my bucket list. THE IRIDIUM New York City.
