Watching Howie Day perform was like a little kid watching a magic show. He played a straightforward melody, accompanied by a refrain, while rhythmically tapping the body of his guitar. He captured the entire performance on recording, skillfully layering the sounds in real-time to produce a backing track. His impeccable looping and the spontaneous harmonies he crafted solely with his voice and guitar were truly remarkable and must be experienced to be fully appreciated. The City Winery NYC.
